Bragg Peak Systems (BPS) is a medical instrument
design and manufacturing company, founded in Alabama in 2010. BPS was started to fill the need for FDA
approved particle therapy systems for the treatment of cancer. While particle therapy is the best
nonsurgical method for treating solid tumors no FDA approved system is
available. BPS is transitioning this
therapy from a university medical research tool into a robust commercial
product.
Bragg Peak System, Inc. has designed the first modular, FDA and CE compliant, particle therapy system. Our turnkey product offering consists of a treatment center, proton ion and carbon ion source, synchrotron rings, beam lines, gantries, and patient treatment rooms. The entire system is continuously monitored to ensure safety and quality.
Bragg Peak Systems’ founders Paul J. Mulqueen,
Ph.D. and Don A. Ludwig, Ph.D. have extensive experience. Dr. Mulqueen has designed and manufactured
medical products in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle
East. Dr. Ludwig has provided medical
physics services to a global clientele.
He has executive experience in both business development and product
development.
